Here’s what you won’t find on my resume: as a manager and Board President, I was rooted in the belief that a great amount of power exists in the individuality and experiences of the people on my teams. I relished in learning about the people I work with and trying to understand them at a deep level. As a community organizer and policy advocate, I operate from a place of strategy and am unafraid of difficult or complex work. I build strong and lasting relationships with partners and community leaders.

In addition to Iris, I am a Co-Director of a small urban farm in Sacramento focused on education, food access, and ecology. I design California native gardens and run a native plant nursery. I live in Sacramento with my partner and our three special needs dogs and love a good house construction project in my free time.
